Pseudo-Secularism

Hindu dharma is implicitly at odds with monotheistic intolerance. What is happening in India is a new historical awakening... Indian intellectuals, who want to be secure in their liberal beliefs, may not understand what is going on. But every other Indian knows precisely what is happening: deep down he knows that a larger response is emerging even if at times this response appears in his eyes to be threatening.

Nice to see a honest & straightforward assessment of Indian politics (political as well as religious). I whole heartedly agree on the points about psuedo-secularism. I have similar thoughts esp. on brown sahibness...infact psuedo-secularism is the defining trait of a brown sahib.

Recently I came across Sita Ram Goelji's 'How I became a Hindu'. Totally agree with it (still have to complete reading it). Especially the part on 'Nightmare of Nehruism'.

Great blog. I am going to add a link on my blog. Keep up the good work.

Thanks & Regards

Great, very interesting and really pseduo-secularism of congress needs to be condemned because it never helped Indian Muslims fight the real issues concerning them. Regarding Haj subsidies, we don't want them and they should not be given at all. But I request you to consider this view also that Gulf has 25 lakh Indians working and this helps Indian economy quite a lot. It is only now that avenues in US and other countries have opened.

OUTRAGEOUS - "Cross" on One and Two Rupee Coins!

Ms. Antonia Maino (the foreign Christian ruler of India) has added the last straw to the camel's back. The printing of the "cross" on the one and two rupee coins of Hindustan is outrageous, shocking, and unacceptable! The coins should be withdrawn ASAP.

Oh, and what a coincidence (!?) that this offensive action has been unleashed upon Hindustan in the same year in which "Christ the Redeemer" has officially been proclaimed a "wonder of the world"!! ("wonder of the world", indeed!, "coincidence", indeed!)I smell a "RATzinger".

It's time for all the Hindus to wake up and smell the "chai"!! The foreign Christian ruler is making a mockery out of all the 800 million (spineless) Hindus in their very own homeland! How sad!

What should the Hindus do to protect themselves from Ms. Maino's sinister plans? For starters, all the Hindus must unite and fight together as ONE. Antonia "Clandestine" Maino along with her bootlicking Christian and pseudo-Hindu chelas, should be kicked out of office (and out of Hindustan) ASAP. And while we're at it, we should also show the "EXIT" sign to all the proselytizing parasites (aka missionaries) that are operating freely all across Hindustan (thanks to the foreign Catholic ruler of India).

This a sad time for India (Hindus, in particular). My grandfather (a notable freedom fighter, a proud Hindu, and a true "Gandhian") would have wept had he been alive today. He fought extremely hard to win independence for India -- but, alas, what good is it? We're back to square one - India's PM is nothing but a spineless puppet dancing to the tune of an uneducated, colonial, white Christian vixen, who ironically claims to be the "Bahu" of our great Hindustan! Shameful and unbelievable! Equally shameful is having Pratibha Patil as the President of Hindustan, a "Hindu" who refused to sign the Anti-conversion Bill in Rajasthan, just so she could please her colonial Christian boss in New Delhi! This is the height of bootlicking! This clearly proves that Pratibha Patil will be more than willing to sell her soul even to the devil just for a couple of extra bucks! Despicable behaviour, indeed!

It's really important for the Hindus to come together as a community before it is too late, and fight the evil forces that are slowly destroying Hinduism and its unique culture and heritage.

Jai Hind! Mera Hindustan mahan!

Pseudo secularism and Muslim appeasement can take many strange forms. In the aftermath of the recent court verdict against the perpetrators of the 1993 Bombay blasts it has taken the form of demand for implementation of the Srikrishhna Report. The argument is that the riots and the bomb blasts are “irrevocably” linked, so much so that “a full sense of closure can only come about when the riot victims are given justice”. It, of course, escapes these political commentators that in linking these two events they are following the same logic as the perpetrators of the Bombay blast only in a different guise- while for the terrorists the logic was blood-for-blood, the logic for the pseudo-secularists is justice-for-justice (or more appropriately, conviction-for-conviction). To make their case, columnists have made such ludicrous argument as follows:

“About 900 citizens were killed in the blood bath after the demolition of the Babri Masjid- 275 Hinuds, 575 Muslims- nearly three times the toll of the bombs that followed them [emphasis mine]” (Farah Baria, IE, Wednesday 1, 2007)

Okay, what am I supposed to make of the fact that the death toll in riots was three times greater than Bombay blasts? That, the latter were not ghastly enough or that the attention (albeit minimal) given to the blasts is not justified in terms of its death toll. The truth is that the terrorists did not work to see that the casualties were limited; in fact, they wanted to inflict the maximum possible casualty. If the toll was less than the riots, it was because the terrorists were limited only by resources and logistical complications. Had one-day of bomb blasts been followed by two more days, the toll in the two events would have been same as the riots (and then would the two events be truly equivalent???) To wit another,

“Yet over time the riots and the fact that nobody of any consequence was punished for the same seemed to fade into the background while the bomb blasts investigation and trial assumed an almost mythic space in the public mind” (Amrita Shah, IE, Wednesday 1, 2007)

Blasts investigation and trial assumed an almost mythic space in the public mind???? Yeah, of course, newspaper journalists followed day in and out Bombay blasts and trial leaving out on more newsworthy stories as the gossips of Bollywood. Well, the bitter reality is that neither the riots nor the blasts occupied any space in the public imagination; the only space that they occupy is in the minds of those who lost their kith and kilns in these bloody events.

There are several other such nonsensical arguments published in India’s avowedly secular press. Thousands, if not millions, have been killed all across India on account of terrorist activities of different hues and Bombay blast is one of the rare cases where the terrorists who perpetrated the crimes were punished. Nobody expects that the perpetrators of the train bombings in Bombay, for example, would be bought to justice. Rather than shamelessly linking the blasts with the riots (as the terrorists would do), these commentators would do well to engage if this one case of justice can be extended to other terrorist crimes.

Namaskar, I chanced across this blog while looking for available material on the Ram Setu & SSCP, I must say I was astonished. Such straightforwardness, such frankness & the ability to stand by truth as you have displayed is the ternal sanatana quality of a true Hindu. Organisations working towards preserving, organising, directing Hindu society & Hinduism have always attracted me & received my support because I feel that is THE work that must pick up speed if India is to preserve her true self & not be disfigured beyond recognition, in that light your efforts are indeed great & noble & deserving an all-out adhesion.
The Ram Setu Raksha Manch is doing a uniqe service to the nation & Hindusim , however much the psuedo-secularists may attempt to denigrate, negate & decry the efforts, its value will be understand by later generations.
I do not know if blog policy allows personal contact, but I would deem it a privilege to know you personally, more so after witnessing your strength of conviction.
May the Lord give you strength to spread the eternal message & protect it from asuric onslaughts.

In an era where the newspapers publish so much crap that makes me afraid to look at one, this site is a wonderful and honest assessment of things going on in this country. Thanks for such a lovely site! I really hope we get our India back one day, where Hindus are also respected and tolerated (what a pity!).

Hello, This time we are inviting to a Hinduism Summit that will feature prominent Hindu Leaders from the NJ-NY-PA Tristate area.
This will be a free, interactive event for anyone who is interested in understanding, living or preserving Hinduism. The aim of this Summit is to propagate the unique science and knowledge underlying Hinduism concepts and practices through recitation of Holy mantras, speeches by Hindu leaders, a novel exhibition of posters, books and spiritual products. It welcomes anyone interested in Hinduism, regardless of race, religion, country or ethnic background.

It will be held in the Marathi Vishwa Community Center in NJ, USA on 24th October this year from 2.30 to 6 pm.
