Muslim group favours uniform civil code, anti-cow slaughter

JAIPUR,FEBRUARY 13: An RSS-supported group of Muslims today resolved to favour the uniform civil code and go against cow slaughter in the country. Delegates from nine states participated in a two-day conference here and decided that Muslims would initiate and make public consensus on the common civil code and women would be engaged to launch a compaign to achieve this, All India Co-ordinator of 'My Hindustan', Muzaffar Hussain told media persons after passing a half-page resolution. 'My Hindustan' would also make people aware against the cow slaughter and a special emphasis would be given on women empowerment, he said. It would recommend the Central government to make a law against cow slaughter, Hussain said adding a nation-wide campaign would also be taken up soon to make people aware of the difference between "jehad and terrorism". Indresh Kumar, RSS Sampark Pramukh, said 'My Hindustan' had organised about 100 such conference in 19 states to make people know that there was no difference among Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, and Christian.
