Pseudo-Secularism

Hindu dharma is implicitly at odds with monotheistic intolerance. What is happening in India is a new historical awakening... Indian intellectuals, who want to be secure in their liberal beliefs, may not understand what is going on. But every other Indian knows precisely what is happening: deep down he knows that a larger response is emerging even if at times this response appears in his eyes to be threatening.

Communally secular or secularly communal?

V SUNDARAM
newstodaynet.com

'If India has to be saved from total destruction, Election Commission of India will have to derecognise the Congress Party first for its unabashed Communal Secularism'

- All the People of India.

If Muslim terrorists destroy the Madurai Meenakshi Temple in Tamil Nadu or Guruvayurappan Temple in Kerala or Puri Jagannath Temple in Orissa, the communal Congress Party or all the Islam-Embracing, Christianity-Coveting or Hindu-Hating political parties forming part of the so called non-communal coalition UPA Non-Government (in actual fact an NGO!!) in New Delhi will not view such criminal deeds as unprovoked acts of religious fanaticism or communal vandalism but as noble deeds of Islamic humanity and compassion forming a legitimate and indivisible part of 'Minority Rights'. What is shocking is that the CBI, IB, RAW, Ministry of Home Affairs and all the other enforcement agencies of the Government of India will also be equally enthusiastic and perceptive and smoothly slide along the same path with the same pseudo-secular fervour! All these disgraceful enforcement agencies under the indirect political control of a coterie having direct links with Italian Mafia will only get unduly disturbed by a routine RSS peaceful Baitak anywhere.

Against this known and 'solid' background, I am not at all surprised that the Congress Party and all the other pseudo-secular political parties are raising a big 'Hangama' against a CD that was sought to be released by some functionaries of the BJP Party in UP. If the BJP Party is communal, Congress Party is also equally communal. The Samajvadi Party, RJD, CPI (M), CPI, LJP, DMK, and all the other political parties supporting the Congress are no less communal. But the Election Commission of India will treat only the BJP as 'Saffronized and Communal' and all the other political parties, including all brands and shades of Muslim political parties as 'Non-Saffronized, Secular and Non-Communal'. In my view Dr.Manmohan Singh is communal. Sonia Gandhi is communal. Arjun Singh is communal. Shivraj Patel is communal. Mulayam Singh Yadav is communal. Lalu Prasad Yadav is communal. Ram Vilas Paswan is communal. Prakash Karat and Brinda Karat are communal. Thus we can go on without end in the murky cess-pool of our low level national politics today.

I was looking into the internationally accepted definitions of 'Racism.' All of them uniformly point out that any form of discrimination against any particular religion within a country or a State is a definite form of condemnable and reprehensible 'Racism'. Even the United Nations has adopted this approach. In Turkey, the Kurds have been the victims of 'Racism'. In Bosnia, we have the disgraceful phenomenon of racial discrimination against the Muslims.

In the light of this definition, I can adduce irrefutable documentary evidence to show that the surrogate UPA government in New Delhi (under the power without responsibility stranglehold of an Italian woman in absolute ownership of a Private Unlimited Company called the Congress Party!!) is a government which actively practices undeclared, unstated, undefined but definitely politically promoted 'Racism' founded on Minority Communalism against the peace-loving HINDUS in majority in India.

Nowhere in the world can we see the national disaster of a duly elected government officially announcing and promoting a pernicious policy of 'Racism' derived from Minority Religious Communalism particularly against the majority. Are we not having State-sponsored Communalism against the majority? Let me give some concrete instances to substantiate my major charge of 'Communalism' against the majority' which I am raising against the UPA Government, the Congress and all the other so called secular political parties:

1. In the dastardly name of 'Minorityism' on paper and petty vote bank politics in practice, the Congress Party under the leadership of Jawaharlal Nehru, a sworn enemy of Hinduism, surreptitiously slipped in Articles 29 and 30 of the Constitution in order to convert the Hindus in Majority in India into serfs of the 'Minority' in perpetuity. Does it not show that the Congress Party has been 'communal' ever since our Independence?

2. After declaring India as a secular State, the Congress Party under Jawaharlal Nehru introduced Haj subsidies for the Muslims in 1959. We do not have Haj subsidies in any other Islamic or non-Islamic country in the world. Was this not truly 'communal'? In this context, the poor Hindus of India from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and from Rann of Kutch to the Bay of Bengal, would like to pose some simple and straight questions to the UPA government in general and Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi in particular: 'What crimes or sins we have committed as Hindus not to qualify for subsidies to visit places of our pilgrimage like Kasi, Manasarover, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Badrinath, Kedarnath, Dwaraka, Puri, Kancheepuram, Madurai, Srirangam, Rameswaram, Kanyakumari, etc.? Are we in minority in India? Are we not discriminated against on the ground of the religion of our forefathers from times immemorial? Are you suggesting that we would instantaneously qualify for these subsidies only by converting ourselves voluntarily and cheerfully to Islam under the direct supervision of two Union Cabinet Ministers like Arjun Singh and Antuley?

3. Was it not an announcement of religious discrimination against the Hindus in majority - the recent policy pronouncement of Manmohan Singh that government of India will always follow the philosophy of 'Muslims First' in the matter of apportionment of development funds? As a responsible Prime Minister, is he not taking India on the treacherous path of fragmenting the country on 'communal' lines just in order to corner some Muslim votes in different parts of India? The real truth about the 'communal' fraud, the whole fraud and nothing but the fraud about the disgraceful Justice Sachar Committee has come out into the open. Why is the Election Commission keeping quiet when Congress leaders talk about the 'communal' glory and the grandeur of Justice Sachar Committee Report?

4. Why did the Union Finance Minister, recently announce a new 'Communal' programme of 'COMMUNAL LOANS' by asking the Banks to refashion and restructure their lending policy by earmarking 15 per cent of the priority sector loans exclusively for the minorities? Will it not throw open the gates of all the Banks in India to the Mullahs and the Moulvis to bring to bear their religious influence even on routine technical and financial matters relating to loans and advances in the banking sector?

5. Having declared India a 'secular' country under the Indian Constitution, will it not be illegal on the part of government of India to talk of religious minorities?

6. Was not Sonia Gandhi practicing 'Communalism' against the Hindus in majority in India when she described the RSS as a rightist organisation with a long track record of stoking the religious prejudices, inflaming the religious passions and polarizing the Indian society? Was she not aware of the Supreme Court verdict to the effect that the RSS is a purely socio-cultural organisation meant for the promotion of Hindu unity and Hindu solidarity? Does she not have contempt for this considered verdict of the Supreme Court?

7. Soon after the Mumbai train blasts, Sonia Gandhi visited Mumbai and declared that 'the feelings of the minority Muslims should not be hurt,' in spite of being fully aware of the fact that these acts of terror were perpetrated by the Muslims with the full backing of ISI in Pakistan. Is not the UPA government treating the peaceful and law abiding Hindus of India as the Jews in Nazi Germany?

In order to counter the impact of the 'Communal' (!) CD floated by BJP, a known and rabidly anti-Hindu group of 27 celebrities under the leadership of Shabana Hashmi has brought out a new CD for selling their anti-Hindu secular message in the on going UP Assembly Elections. Two young Anhad volunteers, Mohammad Zabeeh Afaque and Mir Basit Hussain, have made the VCD, one-and-a-half hours in length, with -stop hate- messages from these celebrities. The most spectacular thing about the fraudulent secularism of Shabana Hashmi, her husband and their other Muslim friends and non-Muslim colleagues in the Anti-Hindu Secular Brigade is that they will never take up the cause of the organized genocide of Kashimiri Pandits in Kashmir.

To sum up in the sharp words of Mohan Iyer:

1. UPA announcing quota for Muslims, on the basis of religion, is not communal.

2. Manmohan Singh, giving a clarion call that Muslims must have first access to national resources, is not communal.

3. Postponing Afzal's hanging, for the sake of UP elections, is not communal.

4. Releasing the communally doctored Justice Sachar Report is not communal.

5. Lalu, releasing Banerjee Commission Report on Godhra carnage (when Nanavati commission was enquiring into the incident) on the eve of Bihar Elections is not communal.

6. Rahul, telling that Babri Masjid would have been safe under Gandhi dynasty, is not communal.

7. Mulayam Singh's current attempt to close the criminal cases against SIMI terrorists is 'not communal'.

On the other hand according to the Election Commission, the Congress and all the other 'Secular Parties':

A. Talking about ethnic cleansing and massacre of Hindus in Kashmir is communal.

B. Talking about Bangladeshi infiltration is communal.

C. Talking about Bombay, Varanasi, Coimbatore, Delhi Muslim terrorist bomb blasts, is communal.

D. Talking about the genocide and ethnic cleansing of Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh is communal.

E. Talking about the greatest genocide on earth - i.e. the massacre of more than 100 millions of Hindus, during Muslim Rule for 700 years, is communal.

IF THIS IS GOING TO BE THE PHILOSOPHY OF OUR SECULAR POLITICIANS AND PSEUDO-SECULAR JOURNALISTS, EVEN GOD CANNOT PREVENT THE SECOND PARTITION OF INDIA.

Sonia's anti-Hindu perfidy & Baalu's Dravidian falsehood

V SUNDARAM
newstodaynet.com

There is an unholy and dynastic political marriage between the anti-Hindu perfidy of Sonia Gandhi and the Dravidian falsehood of T R Baalu. More than 800 millions of Hindus in majority in India and several millions of Hindus outside India in different parts of the world heaved a sigh of relief when the VHP, the RSS and other sister Hindu organisations, acting together under the auspices of SHRI RAM SETHU RAKSHA MANCH, DELHI, organized a massive rally on Ram Lila grounds in New Delhi on 27 May, 2007 to protest against the decision of the Islam-embracing, Christianity-caressing and Hindu-hating UPA Government in New Delhi to destroy for ever the sacred Ram Setu Bridge in Rameshwaram which has held the hearts of Hindus captive for trackless centuries. Every self respecting Hindu in India knows today that the dastardly politically criminal plot to blow up the Ram Setu Bridge in order to destroy the soul of India and to demoralize the Hindus of India by making them refugees in their own native land, was taken by the treacherous trio consisting of a non-Hindu called Sonia Gandhi and two known Anti-Hindus belonging to the Periyar anti-Hindu perfidy tradition called T R Baalu and Karunanidhi. For this tricky trio the political survival of the rickety, shaky and shakeable UPA's collusive Coalition in New Delhi is more sacred than the soul of Barath Mata.

Addressing the massive rally, VHP president Ashok Singhal, thundered like Winston Churchill against Nazi tyranny during the dark days of II World War, when he said: We give an ultimatum to the UPA Government to stop the planned destruction of Ram Setu in Rameshwaram forthwith. The Hindu Saints, Sages and Seers of India have set 22 July, 2007 as the deadline for the Government of India to honourably withdraw from the path of Pseudo Secular Anti-Hindu destruction of Ram Setu, failing which an unprecedented, uncontrollable and unimaginable national agitation, will be launched not only to protect the sacred Ram Setu but also to heroically defend the timeless honour, self respect and dignity of the Hindus of India. There will be a DHARMA SANSAD in Delhi on 22 July, 2007 in which the saints from all parts of the country are expected to participate. The democratic battle cry of all the Hindus today who are firmly committed to the deathless cause of the eternally sacred Ram Setu Bridge can be summed up in these words: unflinching, unswerving, inflexible, indomitable and irrepressible-into broader lands and better days, freed from the draconian anti-Hindu tyranny and dictatorship of the Sonia-directed UPA Government in New Delhi

Ashok Singhal
Praveen Togadia
Dr Subramanian Swamy

Explaining the conspiracy behind the demolition of Ram Setu, Ashok Singhal said that the people of Europe do not want to recognize the history and culture of Bharat and all of them want to destroy it. That is why they refer to Shri Ram and Shri Krishna as mythological characters. The British in the days of the RAJ treated them as mythological figures and not as historical heroes. And now Sonia Gandhi, with her supreme contempt for Hinduism and all things Hindu, also holds the same colonial and European view. All of them do not recognize the period of Indian history prior to the Buddhist era. They feel that if the history of RAM SETU is accepted, then the historicity of Shri Ram will get proved and established. That is why Gandhi went to inaugurate the SSCP in Madurai on July 2, 2005, keeping in mind her avowed mission of destruction of RAM SETU by hook or by crook through the good offices of T R Baalu and Karunanidhi.. He asked the question: Why should the Government of India be bent upon spending Rs 2400 crore in a wasteful manner on the SSCP by dredging the Ram Sethu in Rameshwaram? If it adopts the alternate route by digging a canal in the barren land, the project will cost only Rs 1200 crore. Thus there will be a massive saving of Rs.1,200 crore in which the faithless and irresponsible Shipping and Transport Minister is not interested at all.

While addressing the massive Hindu rally in New Delhi on 27 May 2007, Ashok Singhal rose to great heights by mobilizing the glorious Hindi Language and sending it into battle to save the precious Ram Setu Bridge. The vast concourse of people participating in the rally responded in raucously enthusiastic affirmation to this clarion call of Shri Singhal by loudly shouting the slogan of 'JAI SHRI RAM' and 'JAI SHRI RAM'. According to some of my friends from the Civil Service who were present at the rally, the boisterously violent anti-UPA Hindu mood of thousands of people, was very much reminiscent of the hectic days of the storming of Bastille in Paris in France on 14 July,1789. I am delighted to hear from them that the popular mood of the Hindus at that rally was very much akin in spirit ( if not in letter) to the explosive public mood of the suppressed and oppressed French people during the days of the French Revolution in 1789 and the Russian people during the days of the Russian Revolution in 1917.

VHP general secretary Dr Praveen Togadia declared: If it were Mohammed Ali Sethu, instead of Ram Setu, the Manmohan Singh Government taking hourly instructions from Sonia Gandhi, would not have dared to touch it. Besides preserving it, the Government would also have declared a special subsidy for the devout Muslims to visit it, drawing inspiration from the politically spiritual message of the disgraceful Justice Sachar Commission. The Government of India is working round the clock to destroy the identity and culture of the Hindus. Ram Sethu is a Punya Teerth for all of us and we will not allow anyone to destroy it at any cost. The Governments of Egypt and China are spending crores of rupees to preserve their ancient sites but our anti-Hindu Government is spending cores and crores of rupees to destroy our ancient sites, which are internationally important.

Speaking at the massive rally, senior BJP leader and former Human Resource Development Minister Dr Murli Manohar Joshi gave a detailed account of his visit to the site at Rameshwaram and also the indisputable scientific facts about the Ram Setu. He said those who claim that it is not Ram Sethu are the biggest liars.

Janata Party president Dr Subramanian Swamy called upon the people to be ready for a bigger battle. He said: The main battle today is between 'OM' and 'ROME'. 'OM' (Hindus of India) would defeat 'ROME' (Soni Gandhi). Greatly moved by the inspiring and incandescent words of Dr Subramanian Swami, massive crowds attending the rally went into a state of ecstatic frenzy when he declared in Hindi:

"Aane waala sangharash hoga Om aur Rome ke beech. Jeetega Om. Naash kerenge Rome bhatkti. Vijaysri hogi Om shakti" (The imminent bloody battle is between OM and ROME. We will destroy ROME BHAKTHI! Hail victory for OM BHAKTHI !!)

All the Hindus of India are very happy that Dr Subramanian Swami has issued a clarificatory and self-explanatory, indeed a historic statement, yesterday to the effect that the Government of India are abandoning their plans to breach RAMA SETU. The following facts are seemingly coming to public view following his statement:

1. The Government of India deputed the Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Suresh Pachouri to fly by special plane to Jhoteshwar, Madhya Pradesh to meet Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati, one of the Jagadguru Shankaracharyas at his Ashram. Suresh Pachouri, met him yesterday afternoon to seek the Acharya's help in containing the growing VHP-led agitation for protecting the Rama Setu.

2. It is reliably understood that Pachauri told the Acharya that the Centre has decided to abandon the plan to breach the Rama Setu for the Setu Samudram Canal Project, and that it is seeking 'an amicable way out'.

3. It is learnt from my sources in the Government of India that the Prime Minister has also told the Union Shipping Minister, T R Baalu 'not to touch the Rama Setu'.

4. After a one-to-one talk with Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati at the latter's Ashram at Jhoteshwar near here for about 20 minutes last night, Pachouri told UNI that he would convey to the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other Ministers concerned about the discussion he had with the Shankaracharya.

6. After the talks, Swami Swaroopanand told UNI that he was optimistic that the central government would forthwith stop the demolition of the Ram Setu as it is a centre of religious faith for Hindus.

The nation as a whole is highly amused by the reported news item that Sonia Gandhi wants to corner the glory and the credit for saving Ram Setu making the stellar role played by the VHP and the RSS in organizing the country-wide movement for the protection of Ram Setu trivial and insignificant. When Mahatma Gandhi called off the Non-Cooperation Movement in 1922 following the Chauri Chaura Massacre in UP, he called it a HIMALAYAN BLUNDER. He said If I make a mistake, I will not hesitate to retrace my steps and claim from the housetop that I was wrong. Thus there was nothing mysterious or nefarious or subterranean about the ways of Mahatma Gandhi He was both moral and humble. We cannot expect Sonia Gandhi to follow Mahatma Gandhi's example because she is neither moral nor humble. She can only re-enact a sham Dandi March or organize the humbug of a World Satyagraha Conference. Today's disgusting and disgraceful Congressmen fall at her feet only because of her such imperious qualities!!

Sonia making selective condemnation

BJP says Sonia making selective condemnation
PTI
Monday, September 24, 2007 18:54 IST

NEW DELHI: The BJP on Monday charged Congress President Sonia Gandhi with making "selective condemnation" in the wake of 'Vedanti fatwa' controversy and blamed Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for "keeping quiet" on such an important issue.

"Sonia Gandhi has condemned the statement made by former BJP MP Ram Vilas Vedanti against DMK leader and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi. But, she is making selective condemnation," senior BJP leader M Venkiah Naidu told a press conference here.

He said while Gandhi spoke about Vedanti's statement, she had not made any remark against former Samajwadi Party leader Yakub Qureshi who had said that anyone beheading a Danish cartoonist for hurting the religious feelings of Muslims would be given cash reward.

"Selective condemnation and double standards on communal lines are root cause of social tension in the country," he said.

Naidu showed a re-printed version of the original Constitution of India, published by Parliament, to show that it contained pictures of Lord Rama and Lord Krishna.

"They (DMK) swear by the Constitution and now raise all types of questions," he said referring to DMK supremo M Karunanidhi's remarks on Lord Rama, "hurting the religious sentiments of the

Naidu said while Congress party and the Prime Minister should apologise to the nation, the DMK chief should withdraw
his remarks "otherwise the people's anger will continue and
Congress will have to pay a heavy price".

He said Gandhi should spell out UPA's stand whether she was in agreement with Karunanidhi, otherwise she should ask DMK to withdraw from the alliance. "If they don't withdraw, DMK ministers should be dropped from the Government," he said.

Naidu accused the UPA of destroying the basic culture and heritage of the country.

He said different ministers and different allies were speaking in different voices "and the Prime Minister is keeping quiet on such an important issue".

Referring to the attack on BJP offices in Tamil Nadu, he alleged that the demonstrations were led by DMK Ministers "and still the Centre is keeping silent".

"Unless Congress apologises and the Prime Minister clarifies, the issue will remain," he added.

Prosecute these atheist bullies

by A Surya Prakash

Despite the alacrity with which it went into damage control mode on the awful averments made by the Union Government in its first affidavit on Ram Setu, the Congress is finding it difficult to put a lid on the controversy because of the passions that this affidavit has aroused on both sides of the political divide in the country. While the party has the ability to crack the whip and enforce a gag order within its ranks, it has no control over allies and supporting parties like the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and the two Communist parties. This is more than evident in the irresponsible and provocative statements being made by Mr M Karunanidhi, the DMK leader and Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, and the leaders of the CPI(M) and the CPI.

According to Mr Karunanidhi, who now comes through as a completely unbalanced person, Lord Ram was "a drunkard". "Which engineering college did Ram go to?" he asks the Hindus, because they believe that Lord Ram and his followers built the bridge linking India and Sri Lanka. Mr Karunanidhi has the potential to wreck national unity.

His statements could bring about a clash of regions (North-South) and a clash of races (Aryan-Dravidian). Despite the outrage in the Hindu community, Mr Karunanidhi is showing no signs of remorse and the Communists are now springing to his defence. CPI(M) general secretary Prakash Karat has argued that non-believers are entitled to their opinion, just as believers are entitled to theirs. He is right, but before he gets carried away by his own rhetoric, he will do well to read Chapter XV of the Indian Penal Code which deals with "Offences Relating to Religion".

As we are all aware, members of the Dravida parties and the Communists practice selective rationalism. Their rationalist instincts are in full flow when they deal with personalities and events which fall within the domain of the Hindu faith. But these instincts simply evaporate when it comes to the mythology in Christianity or Islam.

This is not to say that rationalists ought to have a free run. Indians are a deeply religious people and a few non-believers cannot be allowed to disrupt national life through their disparaging comments about religious beliefs. Non-believers are just a handful. The 1991 Census data on religion shows that there were just 1,782 atheists and 101 'nastiks' in India at that time. The first tables on religion released after the 2001 Census do not give us the number of atheists in that year, but even assuming a decadal growth of 50 per cent, it would not be more than a few thousands in this nation of 1.1 billion people. We must put an end to the tyranny of this micro-minority before it causes any further havoc.

Meanwhile, the Ram Setu controversy has once again highlighted the acute embarrassment that national parties like the Congress face when they have to be in the company of political parties which have contempt for 'bourgeois democracy', for those who hold religious beliefs and for democratic centrism. Just as in the case of the India-US nuclear deal, a micro-minority is out to arm-twist the Indian state and to subdue the majority. The Congress, which is India's oldest party and the party of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, must stand up to these bullies if it wishes to preserve India's integrity. It cannot explain away the company it keeps by saying that this is an exigency of coalition politics. The assault launched on Lord Ram by its friends and fellow travellers can tear the fabric of national unity because Lord Ram is not just a religious figure, but someone who is central to the idea of India.

Lord Ram's influence, beyond the narrow confines of religion, is best explained by Nehru, who describes the two great epics -- Ramayan and Mahabharat -- as the "living force" which have become "a part of the texture of a people's life". In The Discovery of India, he says he does not know of any books, anywhere "which have exercised such a continuous and pervasive influence" on the mass mind as these two epics. Further, apart from the influence that these epics have on the national psyche, they are critical to the integrative process. In Nehru's opinion, "They (the epics) make us understand somewhat the secret of the old Indians in holding together a variegated society divided up in many ways and graded in castes, in harmonising their discords, and giving them a common background of heroic tradition and ethical living. Deliberately they tried to build up a unity of outlook among the people, which was to survive and over-shadow all diversity".

Gandhi had said that he found "the greatest consolation" from Bhagavad Gita and Tulsidas's Ram Charit Manas. "I frankly confess that Quran, Bible and the other scriptures of the world, in spite of my great regard for them, do not move me as do Gita of Krishna and Ramayan of Tulsidas." Will someone in the Congress please read these passages out to allies like Mr Karunanidhi who are invoking Tulsidas to justify their blasphemous remarks?

Meanwhile, someone should read out Section 295 A of the Indian Penal Code to Mr Karunanidhi. It says anyone who, by words or visible representation outrages the religious feelings of any class of citizens "with deliberate and malicious intention" or otherwise "insults or attempts to insult the religion or the religious beliefs of the class", shall be punished with imprisonment up to three years or with fine or with both. Section 298, too, prescribes punishment to those who, through words or gestures display a deliberate intention to wound the religious feelings or any person. Apart from these two sections, there is also Section 153(A) under which a person who promotes or attempts to promote disharmony or feelings of enmity, hatred or ill-will between different religions, racial, language or regional groups or castes or communities can be put away for three years.

Mr Karunanidhi's utterances attract this provision as well because they bring about disharmony among different races -- the Dravidian race to which he belongs and the people belonging to several non-Dravidian races in northern, central and other regions of the country who revere Lord Ram. Hindus must activate these provisions in the penal law and prosecute Mr Karunanidhi if they wish to keep the faith.
